Harbor Freight parallel kit for eu2000i

At Harbor Freight today I noticed a parallel kit for their 2000/1600 VA inverter generator. The interesting thing is that the shelf tag said it's compatible with the eu2000i. On that subject, the web page says only "Use only with identical inverter generators." It has a 30 amp RV outlet, plus a twist lock outlet. If it in fact works with the eu2000i and isn't a piece of junk, the $50 price tag ($40 with 20% off coupon) would make it seem silly to build your own from scratch.

  • Almost zero electrical PARTS from China are worth more than two cents.

The electrical terminals are far too thin and brittle.

Electrical wire is always "threshold" too small capacity wise.

Wire insulation is rotten grade polyvinyl reject.

When I receive say a terminal and relay "kit" with an expensive CREE LED light bar, I laugh uproariously when I examine the parts.

Hell, this stuff makes LUCASĀ® look like mil-spec grade electrical.

    Beware.
  • Yes I would be interested if those did work with the Honda's. Like you said a whole lot cheaper going this way

The parallel kit is just wires, so yeah, it'd have to work.

That's the question.. is it a piece of junk? A lot of HF stuff is, and you won't know, presumably, until you 'own' it.

I can still build from scratch for less than 1/2 that, and not have worry about the quality. I don't really see many on here making their own, but I do see them spending hundreds on the Honda.
