My eu2000I ran like junk form new. I think it's because Honda tests them and leaves fuel in the bowl.
It finally got straightened out when I ran half a can of Seafoam in one tank of fuel and let it run for 7 hours. Couldn't believe the difference after that. Not only smoother but only takes a few pulls to start rather than the 20 plus it did before.
You might try doing the same thing - wont cost much to try.
