Inverter issues

Ok,update on inverter issue.
The thor 3000W will not work with my Rv wiring.
I unhooked the batteries and still ground fault code.

I bought a Traveller 3,000W Digital Power Inverter from tractor supply, I have to shut the converter breaker off, bingo, all 110 plugs work, no issue.

I have a similar problem, same converter.
I installed a Morningstar PureSine 300w inverter, and hooked per install sheet. 120v Neutral is bounded to Frame (Bat-) "outside" the inverter. Then to a gfci outlet.
To do a test I put all breaker to off and try to backfeed the panel trough an outlet, but it trips the gfi... I unbounded the neutral at the inverter and it does not trip... and was able to put on a few breaker even run the fridge...
I removed it, I dunno how safe it his...

I Found my issue, I was still plugged in my house.
Even if the breaker inside the trailer was off, it still provided a path from neutral to ground from the house panel.
Now no problem with my GFI, I'm not gonna use my inverter when plugged in!!

I used my Multimeter and put it on the "beep" when it finds a path, Opened the trailer panel and checked the Neutral Buss-Bar and Ground Buss-bar.
Make sure every power source is unpluged and troubleshoot by removing some wire, one at a time till it stop beeping

I agree with Mr. Wizerd, unhook the converter. I recently had a 400 watt solar system installed with a inverter/charger The installer made a point of showing how good my inverter was because it was powering my "converter" I tried to explain that my battery bank will go dead because the inverter is using DC (Battery's) to charge the battery's and it won't work forever. So I went home and unhooked my power converter.

Turn converter off, still error code,

This is a WFCU board WF-8955PEC model, it has 2 white wires on the negative . looks like it goes behind and comes out and plug into the neutral bar.

you should unplug it or turn off the circuit breaker that powers that circuit
it might not be the source of the 'error' code, but it would create an endless power loop and drain the batteries

Yes, the shore power cord. everything is new. I figured it'll be easy hook up inverter and plug the shore power cord in.

you keep saying 'WHIP' do you mean the shore power cord
it should be a large 3 prong that will not fit the inverter without an adapter

any chance there is a home made adapter being used or a new end on the shore cord
maybe there is a crossed wire someplace, white and green on the wrong terminals
or black and white cris-crossed

That is just a 12v frame ground. Not a neutral wire.

Ok, I saw a white wire, and assumed, bad word, it was a neutral wire being white and not black. And, after reading the do and do not's in the manual put 2 and 2 together
