Does the inverter have 120vac coming out?
The TV and DVD do operate on the inverter. During trouble shooting I've been establishing the lack of power to elsewhere in the RV by checking the microwave and plugging in a working 110V night light to each outlet.- MrWizardModeratorIf as you say... One cable going intos bundle of 120v wiring.. then there is where you have to go check the connections
Goto the hardware store. Buy one of those three light plug in testers to check the outlets
This will tell you if it is open neutral or open hot or no power
. on the bad outlets.. then you know what to look for in the wiring.. Loose white or loose black - TobyRHudsonExplorerThe TV and DVD do operate on the inverter. - MrWizardModeratorWill the TV turn on and operate?
- westendExplorerYou need to get a meter on this issue and not rely on the standby light on a TV screen. If you get a meter, break the diagnosis down into segments of trouble shooting. We have no idea if there is AC power from the inverter to anywhere else in your trailer, including the load center, the GFCI outlets, or your TV outlet.

MrWizard - Up until very recently, with inverter on while driving down the road, for example, we've had power at the 100V outlets, the TV and the microwave. Now we've got nothing but the TV with the inverter on.
where is the inverter located
how many 120vac cables come out of (connected too) the inverter
only one ? then there is a junction box someplace where the circuit branches
two ? then you need to trace those cables and fine the broken circuit
all the pictures i found show an inverter with ONE duplex GFI outlet on the front, IF that is yours, then you have a loose connection aka broken circuit is a junction box someplace - TobyRHudsonExplorerFred-We have a 2011 class C Jayco Greyhawk. Inverter is a Xantrex 1000.
wa8yxm- Both you and Fred mention circuit breakers that might be on this AC Line out on the inverter. Would these look like normal circuit breakers? - TobyRHudsonExplorerMrWizard - Up until very recently, with inverter on while driving down the road, for example, we've had power at the 100V outlets, the TV and the microwave. - TobyRHudsonExplorerjrnymn7-Not sure how to post my setup but, I spent some time out there and here is the path. Shore/Generator to transfer switch. There to Main AC panel. Main AC panel to AC In on Inverter. On other end of inverter, input from house battery. AC out on inverter goes into a large wiring harness bundle. I'm hesitant to tear into the wiring harness but, don't see anywhere else to go to find out what's down this line. Can you think of anything else I should investigate other than that?
- BobboExplorer IIIMy inverter powers only 2 outlets, the 2 that are for entertainment centers in the front of the RV and the bedroom. That is by design so the batteries don't get run down. All outlets work on shore power.
