Is it normal for the PD pendant to be on when not charging

The charging pendant for my PD 9245 goes to rapid flash when the shore power and the generator are off. Is this normal?

  • I asked Progressive this same question and they responded with 54".

YES. the indicator light is basically a volt-meter.
  • It's not eight feet, at least not on the pendant that came with mine; it's more like five or six feet. I had to extend it with some additional wire spliced in. A two line (four wire) phone extension cord would probably also work just fine if you didn't want to splice wires. A normal single line phone extension cord would not work.
  • Does anyone know the length of the plug in cord on the PD92201 pendant? I would like to get one for my PD9280. Thanks.
  • If the led wasn't lit people would think it was dead or something was wrong. It always shows it's working and what state it's in.
  • The pendant is on all the time, showing what mode the converter is in or would be in should it have AC power. I think it's kind of silly to keep the light on or blinking when there's no AC, but that's the way it is designed and yours is working as intended.
