The horrible construction seems to be the norm in RV construction. But the cut truss probably not so much.
It's hard to tell in the picture. Is the cut truss on the right side of the vent? Can you use a razor knife and cut some of the excess hanging vinyl so we can see the issue better?
Is there a way you can push the truss up and put a piece of 2x2 or even a cut off piece of 3/4 inch plywood and use in with a few screws to hold the truss back up in position?
If you follow the truss on the right in the pic, it has to be cut at the skylight where it dead-ends. Of course, we dont know how they framed it after that.
Are you sure you want to know? ;)
Oh, I finally see the problem! I was focusing on the picture of the vent fan opening and seeing nothing wrong. I finally realized we are talking about the skylight that caused the truss to be cut and not the vent fan opening.
OP I think you're going to have to remove the skylight and the vent to see if you can maybe build around or anchor the cut truss to the rear wall of the RV.
