RJ, all that matters is that your batteries stay charged and function for you as they should, without being problematic. Whatever charging system you are using, is working for you quite well, with the solar panels and whatever EQ session type charge regime you are using. Your batteries are lasting a long, long time while down at the Q, that's really all that matters. Your system for recharging works for you.
Everyone's perceived needs are different. Time camping is the acid test of if it is or isn't.
You have the Honda Eu1000i. You don't have fuel problems clogging the jets, ever. You have this charger for top off charging and Equalization charging. You have solar panels that get you near topped off with a little bit of aiming a few times a day, by 1 or 2 PM in the dead of winter in Quartzsite. Life is Good, for you... no worries.
