Ouch!!!! - NinerBikesExplorerThe nice thing about Quartzsite is all the shopping opportunities, and seeing all the things I don't own, and feel I never will need to own. Like self monitoring tire pressure gauges for a show stopping price of $250, which would buy me probably 3 out of the 4 tires I need for the 14" rims on my TT?
But the people that are there are really nice, so far. Lots of fun to mingle in the masses, check out tattoo ink, meet up with some really earthy people, share the hobo life, heck, even take in a freak show if you want to walk or ride on a bike around main street instead of drive.
AZ has a way of hardening people up, me thinks. Some sort of magnetism to what appears to be either desert rats that don't shower, or homeless folks with it's mild winters. - SCVJeffExplorer

That's because there never was an hour wait, but it's great folk lore from the whiners..
Wow! I missed those great deals, where were they? We had a GREAT TIME! Met a lot of folks and chatted. Seems they come from all over the world. We met so many that had been there 5+ times. It would be nice to go next time with a group and circle the wagons.
We're home now. Looking back, it was very easy going on tuesday, no problem getting a spot, gas or dumping. Never saw the hour wait to go thru a signal either.
Thanks to all with the suggestions.
Glad you guys made it over and got the general lay of the land. We have another day here and then heading back to Cochella for several days before heading home... - DAS26milesExplorer IIWow! - hypoxiaExplorerSolar has no state sales tax in Arizona. Quartzsite may have city tax on it though.
- JiminDenverExplorer IIIt wouldn't be the first time someone tried to play on the ignorant. There is a person here selling 70w panels, some wire, a cheap PWM controller and a set of batery clips for the low low price of just $369. When he tried to advertize on a RV board I called him on it as the parts were a fraction of that. He said he was looking for the stupid and lazy to sell to. Any one that knew anything about solar and it's cost wouldn't be calling him and he knew it.
Sounds like he made it to the Q. lol
