It sounds like perhaps the connection to the front panel from the main board(s) of the radio has come loose or broken or something. If you're handy at that sort of thing, it might be a relatively straightforward and easy thing to fix. If you're not handy, unfortunately the best option is probably going to be replacing the radio (or getting it replaced).
