LED backup and brake lights for Lance
I am installing a battery which will block access to the right side backup and brake lights on a 2008 Lance camper. It takes a Glo-Brite 4" 9547 sealed tungsten assembly for the backup and 9551 for the brake/tail light.
Has anyone replaced these two lights with 4" LED units? I would like to avoid having to spice in new connectors if at all possible.
I phoned Glo-Brite which is the distributor for the lights used in the Lance campers but they said they are out of stock and had no idea when the LED lights would be back in stock so I am looking for an alternative source.
A secondary question is whether with a newer truck can the standard lamps be replaced with LED type and have the turn signal flasher work properly? I read on the ledtrailerlights.com website that in some cases the standard flasher needs to be replaced with an electronic one to work properly with LED lamps used for the turn signals.
