LED Bulbs for Fifth Wheel Intrerior

I picked some of the 1141 LED lamps from dealer at RV show.
Sounds like you have 921 lamps

I would recommend checking out M4 Products. They were featured on The RV Geeks.

An LED does use fewer amps than an incandescent bulb. But you only save in AH, which has the time component.

You can waste a lot of money putting in LEDs for lamps that are hardy ever on for more than a brief time. Also summer time can mean you don't need any lights on from when you get up till almost before bedtime. Winter is the other way around.

Only do what you have to that will actually do you any good in your situation.

I would suggest buying a couple different ones that are warm white with 12 or more SMD 5050 leds. Even buying just one will not cost you more than $2.50. They are polarity sensitive so if one does not work, turn it 180 degrees.

How well the LED bulb works is dependent on how, or IF, it uses the reflector, which was originally designed for the Filament light source.

My best T10 LED's have been Phillips in the 4000K color. They don't even bother trying to use the reflector

These are not the brightest T10 LED I've tried, but the color is the best and they are the most efficient. For only one 5050 SMD firing forward, I am impressed.

Phillips bulbs are certainly more pricey. The newest offerings are unique in how they intend to use the reflector, and Only Phillips has LED bulbs that are approved to be used in Some vehicles external safety lighting, but not all.

Be aware that some high dollar LED's may cause interference with your HDTV, WX ALERT RADIO, and other RADIO Electronics like HAM RADIo etc.... This is caused by the REGULATION CHIPS on the LED BOARDS.

It was really bad on my install when I was using the OTA ANTENNA setup on weaker HDTV reception.

In my case my HDTV would totally blank OFF and when I turned off the LED LIGHTS it jumps back to crystal clear performance.

The LED BOARDS meet FCC REGULATIONS on submission of Radio Frequency Interference. Lots of info available on this forum about this...

I originally purchased a whole bunch of the LED BOARD that had the regulator BUCK BOOST chips on the board that makes the LED operate within the 9-20VDC voltage range. I had to throw those out and just use non-regulated LED BOARDS in my two trailer.

Just passing on what happened to my LED INSTALL... Might work just fine for you... I definitely would only BUY ONE to try out first before dumping a couple of hundred of dollars into the change out project.

I got my my LED BOARDS from EBAY CHINA for 10 boards for around $50.

Installed in 2010 an still working just fine in both trailers.

I have converted to the 921 LED lamps from ARCON and am very satisfied with them. I used the bright white in the kitchen area and soft light in other areas.

I did my entire camper for 30 bucks. I used 5050 warm white bought on ebay. Do a search for USA shipping only. There are places in NJ IL and CA that are free shipping and no tax. The push in base bulbs are T10 base....the ones in the recessed lights with the 2 pins are G4 base
