More nonsense.LTH is a merely a brand of JCI.JCI has at least 8 battery manufacturing plants in the US. They're functionally headquartered in Milwaukee, WI (although for tax reasons, legally in Cork, Ireland). Their Power Solutions division, which makes batteries, is based in Glendale, WI. They're considering selling it, but nothing has happened yet, and none of the reported interested parties are Mexican.Fake news.

DEKA and MK (Both East Pen Battery) are the only batteries 100% US made. others are made in the USA of lead imported from other companies but East Penn has its own Lead Smelting plant so they make from 100% US Lead. Just so you knowIN 2014 I put a pair of DEKA G-20's (A CG-2 type battery) in my RV. I think it was something like May when I did this.THIS YEAR like in Feburary. for the 1st time. I had to add water..My original Interstates. when new it was an annual mob (Every mother's day). But the DEKA's went 4 years.. Yes there are a few changes. but not that many and not that recent (The changes result in a slower recharge) but even with the changes the Interestates needed 4x the water .

JCI is headquartered in Ireland.JCI does make some batteries in Mexico, but they have 8 plants in the US and many more around the world. Just last year JCI invested nearly half a billion dollars in expanding 3 of their US plants to increase capacity.Johnson Controls makes LTH batteries, they haven't merged with them.

No, it was an acquisition. JCI existed before, it still does. LTH existed before, it no longer does (as an independent entity).

Nope. There are lots of aftermarket batteries made by JCI in the US. JCI: "The company will accelerate $450 million USD in investment at its existing facilities across the country (US) to increase capacity to grow its aftermarket service and supply capabilities." - ibid

When a fish swallows a minnow, it's not called a merger. Sure, there are lots of corporate and legal mechanics which make everything work, but it all boils down to JCI owning Enertec and LTH. Whether you call it a merger or not, makes no difference. LTH is now a brand of JCI, as clearly stated on LTH's own website.

Eugenio Clariond Reyes-Retana expropietario de LTH y actual consejero de JCI explains well how his company acquired LTH and sold it to JCI in the 80 yr history document.

If the OP is talking of something new then provide some sort of link to the news!

USA companies are supplying OEM auto batteries but aftermarket batteries are coming from Mexico. But you're not purchasing OEM batteries, right? Only aftermarket ones, like RV batteries.

Do your homework.
