We use the inverter a lot and rack up the daily AH usage. No attempt to conserve battery. Our idea is to use it, since we have it. We have it, because that's what we need. :)
Well said for each of us having our own style, I'm with you on using it if you have it. When the feeling for roughing it surfaces it time to drag the tent out.
Like pianotuna if a quick holdover boost is needed the the magnum 3012 can dump 125a into the bank in an hour useing the 2000w generator but that's only if it's rainy/ heavy overcast for 2 days straight.
