  • Golden HVAC, it's a Mega Watt power supply S-400-12. 36 amp max. Mexicowanderer has supplied links and ideas along the way to the power supply and timer.

Nice work! What is the width of one of those supplies?

    I think it's about 4 3/4 inches wide, 7 3/4 long and about 2 or 2 1/2 tall.
The Radio Shack project box is 7x5x3

I wasn't brave enough to remove the board and try to remove the pot. I may try to do it this winter when we stay at my sons house. That way I'll be able to say I used it a few times before I ruined it.
  • I had 400 amp rated Anderson Connector on the back of my Isuzu pickup back in 1985, and cut apart a #4 jumper cable set that was 20' long, and put one Anderson connection to the first 18' and the other to the remaining 2', so that

I could connect them together, or pull in front of a car that I wanted to jump start, then plug in the 18' #4 jumper cables to the back of my truck, and jump start it. No need to turn around on a street or freeway, or pull up next to the car in a parking lot, but I could back in if needed.

Great work, and attention to detail. .

Picture 160 is not showing up on my screen.

Is this a portable battery charger made out of a used Converter/charger? I already did that with my Procharger 20 about 10 years ago. Sure it works great! I also used #8 jumper cables from Harbor Freight! It works great to quickly charge a battery, or jump start a car.

  • Very nice and efficient there... I should have bought one of those complete from you instead!
