Mex's 20% AGM Rule Sucks.
Mex says deep cycle AGMs need to be recharged at a 20% of Bank AH rate even if they are not Lifelines (which do specify that). My AGMs are not that brand, and no mention is made of a minimum charg...

I do not have "telecom" AGMs as such. They are rated for "cycle use" and for "standby use" so that is dual purpose but not the same way as deepcycle/starting. I am unclear on acid starved or not.
Today I ran the 250AH one down to 50% SOC as it is convenient to do that today at home. Recharging at 75 amps which is over the 20% and under the 100A "limit" in the guide. I will get it to true full by amp acceptance count (under 1.25 amps) at 14.4 and call that one done till next time. Maybe then play with a higher voltage and check for Mex's "wall" before going to Float.
I will do the two 100s another time, perhaps later this week.
Then back to shallow cycling until winter skies mean not enough solar and deep cycling time is back. Just how it is if you are not a snowbird. :)
