The only remaining alternative (with your current generator and your microwave) would be using lower power settings, ex. Autodefrost. Don't know your particular MW, but they are all similar. At this setting it usually runs at 40% power, so a small 700W model that draws 1,200W at 100% power (hopefully no need to explain why 700W unit draws 1,200W) will draw ~480W. It will take a bit longer to heat it though.
