Need a permanent solution to my TV issues

2009 Itasca Cambria. Second owner. Short and sweet explanation of what I have. Single LNB off a Winegard dish running to Direct TV box. Output on DTV box is HDMI only. Front TV HDMI ready so not a problem. Rear Tv replaced with a larger TV

and also installed 50ft. of HDMi cable to it. Installed a splitter that is powered by a small transformer to send a signal to the rear TV. It worked momentarily then went to sound only. I am tired of this. Original owner was using a portable dish outside

the coach. I am really good at getting a signal using my compass and getting the dish dialed in. How can i get a signal to the rear tv. I bypassed the box that came with the coach. Satellite guy today said i need another cable from the dish to the rear

TV and another direct Tv box. I have come to the conclusion that no one knows what the "H" they are talking about, prove me wrong. Thanks.
  • Do you have a vidio selector box. I had to add one to our Aspect.
Now can control Sat,cable and OTA feed to front and rear TV.

As I see it you have a couple of options. Genie and a slave for the second TV or get serious and rewire the RV in the right way. I just did a serious modification in my fiver so I can run a genie and wireless slave off on two different dishes.

Rewire the Rv the right way, meaning what? Im tired of adding additional boxes, wires ,cables, plugging in things then unplugging something else. The front of my coach looks like a control panel for a DC-10 and I still

don't have Tv in the bedroom. Had to unplug something this morning to grind my coffee, lost my signal then had to reboot. PITA. I get up at night and there are enough red lights on to light my path.

Running an additional cable from the satellite to the front of the coach, that looks like fun. Do they run those cables through tubes or spray insulation on them so you have to remove roof panels. My friends call on me when

the job requires patience so I can run a cable from anywhere if I have to .
