Need outlet wiring help. Can I use 220 volt wiring?

And i did real all the posts, notice mine is worded a little different.

And i am not familiar with those new fangled 220 range plugs since mine runs on 220 and is of the three wire type just like my welder is set up.

Because nobody knows if he has a WHITE NEUTRAL at his existing 220. If he does, then your suggestion is the best way to go. I doubt he has a Neutral. My pool has 3- 220 pumps and NONE use a neutral. Doug

If you have to ask here, hire a licensed electrician for a professional answer.

Yes you can reconfigure the circuit to get 30 amps at 120 volts.
At this point I recommend an electrician.

no matter who does the work,

:E CHECK VOLTAGE WITH A METER TO VERIFY 120 VOLTS BEFORE YOU PLUG IN :E
