There have been many complaints about the Mach 8's. Outside noise, inside noise, fan blade failure, motor mount failure, etc. I know that some have placed wedges under the base to help with the inside noise.
IMHO, EVERY ONE of the Mach 8's should be recalled. Simply not reliable. I know of several owners that are on their third unit in less than three years.
