Ewwww those 19 liter jugs cost about eleven bucks down here and the Krylon paint, three dollars, I'm going north Friday. Any hints where I can find a FOUR dollar jug?
Right now I am doing the math on $2,77 gallon butane versus $3,87 gallon ultra low sulfur diesel as a heating medium for this winter.
One, needs the pot hauled six miles to be refueled the other needs a jug hauled a mile to a gasolinera.
I've owned an Olympian 8.000 BTU heater and a couple types of kerosene heaters. No way in hell am I moving an LPG pot indoors and outside storage means drilling a one inch hole through a foot of concrete and keeping the kitchen comfortably warm. The other way means placing the diesel heater in the hallway between the bedroom and the kitchen then refueling the heater's tank.
IT gets to freezing here. 0.0000000% insulation and a simple 1.650 watt heater is a hundred dollar per billing cycle expense I don't need. Adding 10 degrees to outside air temp would be a blessing.
