Anything RONGGG! With Painting A Red jug Yellow with Plastic Paint? One spray can otter dewer.
Authentic military jerry cans were heavy. I hoisted enough of them. Galvanized inside and out. Navy gray. Water jugs were aluminum with some kind of light yellow coating inside with a five inch cam-over latch.
Mex,
I suppose painting it could be OK, the downside however is with plastic molded cans the words Gasoline, Kerosene, Diesel are MOLDED into the plastic...
If someone is so dumb they need different coloured containers to differentiate between gas and diesel, there’s ZERO guarantee they’re going to actually know the difference and pick up the correct jug.
Case in point, the guy that runs the horse farm up the street called me earlier this summer to fetch his 4 horse gooseneck with my truck from a show grounds a few hours away because his brand-spanking new truck was in the shop. On the way to get the trailer he related why his new truck was in the shop. The wife and her friend decided to fill the truck while they were in town instead of stopping to do so with horses and the trailer on the truck. Lucky break.....
The two women, despite the badging on the side of the truck, and “diesel fuel” on the gauge, and on the filler cap, decided that it MUST be a gas truck because it was so quiet.
Diesels are very loud, right?
Speaks volumes on your friends wife, but not necessarily for the general public who might benefit from the color coding.
I beg to differ, but if they don't know the difference between gas & diesel in the first place, they aren't going to know, or remember the difference between red and blue either.
Ron White was correct, you can't fix stupid.....
BTW, it's not a "friends" wife, just somebody up the road, but yes, she's as dumb as a stump, but she certainly has 'redeeming virtues' .......... ;)
