- Why do you need to replace it? Failed cooling unit? (about the only reason to replace less it's falling apart and I rebuilt the fell apart stuff on my Dometic)
My cooling unit has failed after 14.5 years.. New cooling unit (Just the 'Back' side of the fridge0 is 665 +S&H (Single wide double wide's are more expensive) plus install CW tells me 4 hours. I don't think so.. That's still cheaper than a residential and a 5 year warranty. - when I replaced my norcold 1200 I used a Samsung 19.5 French doors about the same size as your 1200 taking off the Samsung doors went thru my motorhome door
- When my1200 died I looked at resi fridges. I would have to take a windshield or window out. I heard about Amish made replacement units and went that route. It took about 4 hours to do it. It works better than the OEM unit by five degrees.
No trimming required.
They now make a compressor version that gets even colder.
