Norcold 9162 Not Working on AC

First -- the refrigerator is working perfectly on LP and is as cold as you would want it.

When first turned on, it goes to auto mode then immediately to LP. If I press and hold the mode button, the AC light will come on for 2-3 seconds and then continually flash.

The receptacle where the fridge plugs in has juice which means the breakers and fuses are ok.

Is there another fuse on the back of the unit or does this sound like a control board malfunction?

Thanks

  • Under cover on control module....in outside compartment where 120V AC power cord and 12V DC leads go to.
  • Thanks OB -- where is the fuse located -- on the back of the unit or in the board on the door?

    Thanks
  • YES.....
There is a 5A glass fuse that could be blown on control module for electric heater circuit and then there is the electric element that could be bad

    IF fuse is good........
Unplug element leads from board and plug then directly into 120V AC source.
If it gets hot and cools fridge down then circuit board
    If it doesn't.........element

Probably element. That is what flashing on panel is indicating
