- dclarke618ExplorerThanks everyone for your input!
- dclarke618ExplorerI put a new Dinosaur board in today and it is working fine!
- dclarke618ExplorerOK,
I cleaned the burner, checked the continuity on the ignition/sensor wire and there is 12 volts to the valve while the ignition is actively sparking (20-30 sec)then the flame goes out and the voltage at the valve drops to 0. I think replacing the sensor/ignition wire is next.
Any other suggestions - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIThe spark electrode IS the flame sensor.
It sparks to ignite main flame then main flame generates a milivolt signal (ionization). That signal goes to circuit board as proof main flame is lit and shuts down spark action.
No Proving.....your fridge will 'spark' 'monitor for signal' 'spark' 'monitor' for up to 30 seconds and then shutdown
Could be dirty spark electrode
Could be electrode out of position (must be engulfed in flame)
Could be incorrect spark gap
Could be cracked ceramic allowing signal to ground track
Could be bad wire/bad connections

Takes zero parts and no special tools (assuming your RV manufacturer left you with good access through the outer door to the burner area).
Yes, if it doesn't work after cleaning the burner tube, propane jet and igniter/sensor, THEN consider what part is needed. - dclarke618ExplorerThanks Mike and darsben1! I really appreciate the input. I will swing by the RV parts place tomorrow and get a new sensor.
Dave - darsben1ExplorerCould be the flame sense circuit

If you provide the manufacturer and model, someone can probably point you to the part and how to replace it.
edit: as the model was in the title and not the message, I didn't notice it when responding.
