Saudi Arabia just cut production to 50%. Rocket attacks against refineries and pipelines. You can bet your last dollar prices are going to double because of speculators. Crude has jumped on a weekend a bad bad sign.This is about your wallet and not political. I am going to jam the tanks tomorrow.Best wishes folks and that isn't a joke either :(

Anaylists are predicting a $6 to $10 increase per barrel price......which would be a $0.12 to $0.25 increase per gallon of gasoline.

It's not like we didn't know gas prices would be going up at some point.And, winter is coming so fuel oil prices must go up. :(

It's the price of the SPECULATORS set. Analysts are incorrect because of the extreme chance of war. Analysts are graduates of the University of Guesswork.We have J Stars aloft at all times in the Gulf. The Speculators are saying they do not know the origin of the rockets. Gimme a freakin' break, they know to the square foot where the rockets originated.This is an excellent opportunity to meet Saudi Arabia's demand for higher crude prices while speculators are drooling. You'll see why increases in small bits are less hard to swallow. Everyone except the consumer has profound fits of ecstasy over higher prices: Refiners, Speculators, Hydraulic extractors, Seven countries including Venezuela and Iran, State governments.It's a feeding frenzy. Airlines pay more for fuel, package delivery, higher airline ticket prices, farm produce, beer, eggs, Government demands more tax because of higher prices (tax revenue doesn't help).Who suffers is the general public. We will GIVE FOR FREE billion-dollar missile defense systems.All of it comes out of your pocket.But an empty 100-gallon RV gas tank can save significant money. Even a 20-gallon tank on a seldom-used large vehicle will save money. Enough to finance a medium camping trip.

I just barely dodged a piece of sky that was falling, so there's that to worry about. :R

Meanwhile back home, I see my local Safeway has dropped their price for diesel to $2.80/gal.

5% of the entire worlds output is all the difference is. Plus, the United States is a net exporter of oil now. We make more oil than we need here. So how does this affect us? Slight fluctuations in crude speculation is all. But supply and demand wise, no change.

The US and Canada are net exporters of oil.

However, we are also free-market economies.

The price of diesel in Brazil is about $0.80 / gallon. Why? The nationalized the oil industry.

We cannot tell our domestic oil producers that they must sell below world prices. The only way the gov. can control the price is to buy it on the open market, store it till needed and sell it back into the market against higher prices.

The problem with that is the US alone consumes some 390 MILLION gallons per DAY.

THe Driving factor on the cost of fuel is GREED.. YOu cite the price increase from the Saudi's and the fact they are cutting production.

Back when we got "A lot" of oil from them it amounted to something liek 2% of our oil consumption less than 10 in any case. Cars back then bragged about MPG in the upper single digit about the same as my motor home today. Today cars get 20-30-40 MPG And our oil consumption has been cut over 20 %

Why are we even concerned. We can tell the OPEC nations to stuff it down a well and never run out of fuel. We do import from Canada That and domestic is all we need.

Here regular gas is $3.89 and diesel is $4.19, just a cost of enjoying life. Can’t sweat the small stuff.

Topped off my scooter's 1.1 gallon tank with .9 gallons of $2.58 91 octane.

Last time the sky was falling locally (N. TX, as hurricane Harvey hovered over Houston), there was a local shortage as folks were storing gas (topping off) in their vehicles. That's a lot of storage.

The US may well be a exporter. What do you think will happen when the exporters can get more for their products over seas. US dollars will compete with foreign dollars for the product. That competition will drive up prices. Yep supply and demand.
