I have a 2004 Monaco Knight. My electric will not work when I am plugged in to shore power but everything works fine while running the generator. I have checked the voltage at the pole and I am getting 120 on both sides. The EMS system is recognizing that I have 50 amp service, but it is not reading how many amps I am drawing. The seems to be no power going to my inverter.Thanks,Todd

Is your EMS between CG outlet and the ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch). If so, and EMS recognizes proper power you have a problem between there and the main breaker box. ATS is where I would start looking Points could be stuck in generator position.If you are not safe working around 240 VAC, I would suggest all you do is tap lightly on the outside of the ATS-- sometimes that is enough to free the stuck points (temporary fix). If you are safe working with 240 VAC, take the lid off the ATS and check for power in and out while on shore power.

ATS is between your shore power cord connection to the coach and your 120 main breaker box.Don't know if you have a converter, and inverter or most likely, an inverter/charger. Look in compartments near the batteries.Tell us the brand and model and we can tell you what you have.Did your coach not come with any literature?

I found it. I have an IOTA ITS 50R. I do have the literature but it doesn't really tell me anything.

I found this on your transfer switch. Maybe this will give you some help from their trouble shooting section. But it looks like there are no fuses and 120v runs all the relays and switching in the transfer switch.

It is possible the switch is bad or your contacts got burn on the shore side.

I do not have power anywhere, but power everywhere when gen set is running. My EMS gives the read-out when plugged in as well. What is weird about this it was on shore power working fine when it quit.

When you plug in you should hear the ATS click over to shore power. In the past when my transfer switch had issues it just did not power up at all. I have a 2001 Monaco Knight and its the intellec EMS installed. When I am on 50A shore, I do not get a readout on the amperage draw, that only works when on genset or below 50 amps shore connection. And per the documentation I have that is correct.

The EMS usually is not set to shed the converter/inverter, so you should have power on all of those outlets. Do you have power anywhere like the microwave, non inverter outlets? Or is the entire coach offline even with the EMS showing you have power?

Does it make a clunk sound when you switch from generator to shore power? Should be fairly loud when it does.
