Onan 5.5 HGJAB no voltage

My Onan Gen would not put out any voltage upon start-up last Thursday. It had worked flawlessly last Friday going to the campground. After shutting the A/Cs off I had unhooked from the campground and wanted to fire up the A/Cs to travel but after waiting a couple of minutes for the voltage to come up it was not happening. I subsequently tried again several times on the way home to no avail. The code that flashes when using the diagnostic mode is 33. The Owner's Manual does not list that number.
What should I look for to help with that? This is a permanently wired GEN not a "move the plug" type.
This on a 2004 Holiday Rambler Vacationer W22 chassis.
Where is the Transfer Switch on this unit. I don't see it anywhere in the compartment around the converter. I have checked all of the fuses / breakers including the main panel, the distribution panel, in the chassis battery panel, the one under the hood that has all of the BIG fuses and at the GEN itself. I want to check the in and out voltage at the TS. The GEN starts and runs fine but does not show any charge in the outlets, monitor panel or at the Micro. Is there a hidden reset or breaker?
Without the GEN I can't run the A/Cs while driving which this time of year is very uncomfortable.

  • Thanks for the suggestion. That was going to be my next step but I have been advised to check the Automatic Transfer Switch first. Since the GEN runs and doesn't die it must be charging but can't get past that point. It is raining today and forecast for tomorrow, too. It may have to wait until Tuesday.
