To answer your second question. Yes about a 25% power loss is what I have read. And it will use a lot more fuel.

I had a propane generator in my 5ver. Only used it once in 4 years. They eat a lot of propane.

Since you originally posted in the Toy Hauler section I am wondering if you have a fuel station on your RV. If you do, I really don't understand why you would want to change from gas to LP. I'm getting ready for an extended weekend boondocking trip to Moab, and am not looking forward to taking 2 extra 30 pound LP tanks. The generator runs through a LOT of LPG.
