Onan Gen

I have had this remote start problem with two different Onan gensets. Both times the problem was with the remote switch wiring, not the switch. This wiring runs to a "molex" type connector that plugs in to the side of the genset switch housing.
First, look for corrosion of the pins in the connector (squeeze the ears and pull gently to unplug) and clean as required; also while the connector is disconnected, ensure that all the wires are properly crimped to the pins in the connector. Correct any issues if found and then reconnect and try to start remotely.
Second, both of my gensets were supplied with only about 12" of wire on the connector and the OEM supplied the wiring to the dash. These wires were spliced using crimp-type connectors which were hidden inside the plastic wire loom. Find the splices and inspect carefully; this circuit usually works by connecting the start circuit all the way from the gen set to the dash and back again so it MUST be a low resistance connection. One (or more)is very likely corroded. Re-splice if necessary and try to start remotely.

Pin 2 is Ground
Pin 1 is Stop
Pin 3 is Start

Connecting 2 to 1 should Stop Gen
Connecting 2 to 3 should Start Gen

Switch on dash should just have four plastic spring like tabs 2 on top and 2 on bottom that can be compressed to pop out of dash. Use a thin blade maybe to push them down a little from front of switch. I found a wire Diagram if you can not find one or get one from others here.

Yes this is my generator.
I have sprayed with contact cleaner and no change.
I think it may be the switch on dash that is bad. Having a difficult time
trying to disconnect wiring from switch. Would like to know how switch comes out of dash.
I have taken many wiring harnesses off of switch prior but this one is a problem.
Also tech from onan said to unplug wiring connector at generator and look back into wiring covering. Could be wire come apart about 6 inches in harness covering.

Still on the investigation of why its not working. It shuts off proper from remote switch, just won't start.

I have tried to spray connection cleaner on big connector from remote switch on dash.
Anyone know how to remove dash switch? 2001 Pace Arrow Vision
Tried again but didn't work, just seems dead on start side. But I can use stop side and it works well?
Any other ideas of what to check out?
I see two white wires with yellow/gold color insulators on inside left bottom of genie housing.
Tried to wiggle them loose but they seem very tight? Didn't force them as not sure what they are.

Just started from inside switch one time so I am going to try spraying contact cleaner on my connections for next step.

The slide switch is Circuit breaker also

I don't know about the switch but you don't have a good connection somewhere in your remote harness . If you can post a picture of the slide switch or email it we might could get it figured out.
