Phantom/hidden battery drain/draw?

Ever since returning from our last camping trip, the battery refuses to hold a charge. I have checked all the lights, switches, hidden lights, etc. and everything is off. I have just kept the TT plugged in overnight and a few hours in the day and now the battery is completely dead again. When I get in, I can turn the lights on (very dim) and then if I request any other electrical draw (say, slide), it beeps and completely dies. Could the electric brakes somehow have been triggered? Or is it a more simple answer and I just need a new battery? Any thoughts on what else I could check? TIA.
  • If it's a wet battery fully charged it and check the specific gravity. You could also disconnect everything from it fully charged it and then check the specific gravity. When it's fully charged you could also hook a device like a fuse buddy in line between the battery and the positive cable and see how many amps it's drawing while sitting there.

Fuse buddy can be used on individual circuits

Please do check the details and let us know.

Do you have a Dometic fridge and if so, is the condensation heater turned on?
    It draws about 1A constantly.

Ha, yes, that's the first thing I checked. :)

Trailer brakes have nothing to do with the trailer battery other than when the break away switch lanyard has been pulled so assuming that's not the case it sounds like the battery could be pooched. Never is everything completely off as your propane detector is always powered, so too is a radio memory circuit unless you've installed a kill switch, as well as a fridge climate control circuit unless you've also made sure to turn it off. You haven't told us anything about the battery, particularly type and age, so maybe it's simply had enough of this life. ;)

That's the weird thing. :) For the first time since we've purchased the TT, the radio lost its memory so I'm assuming the battery completely drained.

    I shall check...
