Wow! - Brings new meaning to...."trouble shooting"
"I have a diesel Power Tech Generator that.....etc."
OK - step number one:
Do you still have it?
Check to see if generator is still "on board"....:W...:h
~ - deandecExplorerThe manual will give you a flow chart for trouble shooting in the very back. I have found it very useful.
Will not crank.
Crank no Start.
Start will not run.
The manual is available online at PowerTech's web site. - MrWizardModeratorconsidering your screen Handle ?
my uncle has a 2010 serrano, not sure of the model genset
but it does have a pre heat feature
push the button, wait for the light to go out, then crank it over
watch for the light, your preheat might not be working,
it won't start without the pre heat - GdetrailerExplorer III

No.
No matter how much I try I just can't get enough info out of "will not start"..
For an diesel engine you need three things.. Fuel, air, compression.
Do you have fuel?
So does it crank (rotate, turn over, move) when you try to start?
Does it have glow plugs, are they working?
And so on..
Fair chance you have a fuel problem if engine turns over with no start.. Try a new fuel filter if that is the case.. - Chris_BryantExplorer II
