Some of the newer power window controls have a "smart" control board built under the front LH window switch panel. I say this because it may not be just a matter of switches that directly control the current to a window motor.
For example, if you have an "UP" or "DOWN" window action that only requires a momentary touch of the Up/Down switch then it is for sure a "smart" control board. I have seen where allowing rain water to come in an open window and migrate into this control panel can render the smarts to be "unserviceable".
