Ours is Atwood/Wedgewood but here's what I do:
Set the Oven Knob to a Baking Temperature (like 300), NOT just "Pilot."
Strike Long-Nose BBQ Lighter immediately and move to the Pilot Orifice.
Oven Pilot lights at once in "flare up" mode, meaning a bigger flame than the Standing Pilot flame.
Oven Knob Valve must go to a larger gas flow this way. Makes lighting flawless. I usually do this right when we want to bake, and do NOT leave it in Pilot mode when not in use. Why? At least on ours there is NO thermocouple on the Pilot. If it goes out, that LP will continue to flow. That's also why I wouldn't install a piezo igniter wired to the oven. If it's fired when the oven's full of LP from a blown-out pilot, well, there are pictures above.
