rand mcnally 7725

Purchasing Rand McNally 7725 GPS. My question what have you used for mounting/pacement? We have a Jayco 32ds Greyhawk class C
  • I bought one of the sand bag portable mounts. Becareful if you go this way to get one that has large enough plate for suction mount.
  • We purchased the 7725, and we were very unhappy with it. The first one would not sync with our computer. Come to find out the drivers were bad from the factory and we had to send it back. We ordered another (had to pay shipping again). I routed us miles and miles out of the way on the route it selected. We checked on older Garmin GPS, and three mapping sites that indicated the correct route was about 30 miles closer and much faster. I'm dealing with Rand McNally now, and they are trying to figure out why the software sent us the way it did. This unit has lots of potential, but right now, I'm not very thrilled with it. We'll stick with our very old Garmin until this one can get updated.
  • Ours is a 7710. We have recently done a massive updates of the program. It seemed early on that it was a bit sluggish, but with the newer software it is much more responsive.
No matter what GPS you get, you must keep up the updates.
Ours operates much better then our two Garmins.
  • I mounted mine using the suction cup mount that came with it just below my truck's rear view mirror.
