I live in southeast Michigan, I purchased my Champion from Tractor Supply Co. It was $289 + tax. There used to be a Pep Boys over near Livonia, not sure if there still are some Pep Boy's around Michigan... as someone else mentioned... Murray's is of the same chain I think...

Pep Boys are not local, but I can get there if I have to. Tractor Supply I will check. Checkers I've never heard of. Home Depot on their web site doesn't list Champion, only Coleman, Briggs, and Pramac. Harbor Freight sells generators under their Chicago Electric brandname. Any ideas which one this is? It appears that Cabela's might have them, but at $400 rather than the sub $300 prices with Pep Boys. (see pricing from Pep Boys Black Friday ad below)
