I plan on doing exploratory surgery. I'm now suspecting the washer fell on the floor as that one went down the assy. line. Since there is no crankcase back pressure and the oil is traveling up a vertical shaft
about all I can figure is it's being thrown by the crank.
I'll post an update as to what is found when I do.
