Have been reading RV.net for a long time. Going to buy a Champion mostly for 1-3 times a year for home backup power to run a sump and freezer, and maybe use on camper. I have read a lot about the Champion here and believe it uses brushes. It was suggested to me that if I am going to store a generator that uses brushes, in my garage on a shelf (in Michigan, garage not heated but insulated with bedrooms above), that I could prolong its life by storing it in a bag that the air can be vacuumed out of with a shop vac to keep the brushes from corroding. Would this help prolong the brush life?
