The right end hooks where the rod is connected, the left end connects in a tiny hole in the plastic just below where that end of the rod connects. Thanks a lot for the quick response. It looks like mine broke right at the hook where it starts to bend... I measured the straight part of the spring and it seems to be about 2.5 inches.
Does anyone know if this is a Champion only part or pretty generic on generators since these Honda-like engines are standard on a lot of genys? I have been looking for a generator parts retailer in the Richmond, VA area with no luck so far.
