Are you comparing the Champion 3500/4000 to the Honda and Yamaha inverters?
I believe the 3500/4000 is rated at 68dBA @ 23 feet. Versus 53 dBA for the Champion 2000i. So an additional 15 dBA is considerably louder. I think a Champion 2000i (or two) would have been a great deal more discreet. Just my 2 cents.
