- FishermanExplorerThere's a nuthouse a couple miles east of the purported location. Maybe a couple of escapees.
- Francesca_KnowlExplorerNewsflash:
There's a brand spankin' new article about this company at this link with a very active discussion now going on. It was just published today, and starts with a recent "bulletin" from the inventor/owner. Take a gander including reading the comments and decide for yourselves whether this is for real or just one more way to separate the gullible from their hard earned! - ksg5000ExplorerReminds of a Pakistani inventor who claimed he had a car which ran on water - got all the establishment thumping their chest boasting how World was going grovel at their feet ... then local high school science teacher gave them physics 101 lesson.
- SalvoExplorerNot much in their box other than batteries and inverter.

It could be a hydrogen fuel cell - have to separate the OXYGEN out of water and only use the H2

Fuel cells basically just burn hydrogen (producing water) and turn the energy released into electricity. You can't split the water into hydrogen and oxygen, and then recombine it, and get more energy out than you put in—it's just not physically possible. It's also why you can't get energy by connecting a generator and an electric motor together, the motor turning the generator which powers the motor; and, for that matter, why you can't coast up a 200' hill with the momentum you gained from coasting down a 150' hill. - fj12ryderExplorer IIIOne acronym from Robert Heinlein pretty much sums things up: "TANSTAAFL"
- fj12ryderExplorer IIIFrom looking further and watching, I think it says "No Diesel".
- Big_KatunaExplorer III say hoax.
There ARE water powered turbine generators that are used by off the grid folks. I saw them used on Mountain Men. But you need a stream a 20' drop or so. They used it to run drills and such.
CLICKY - Francesca_KnowlExplorerLooked around for some independent info and came across this article
Question about the below quote for those of you that understand these things: Since it evidently takes 2 kilowatts to make 5 kilowatts...where does that energy come from when starting with plain water???

He told Chet that in a 5 kW system, the actual output was 7 kW, and that 2 kW was needed to run the system, leaving 5 kW for external use.
Also, per the first pic at the O.P.'s link: Does it look to anyone else like the word "diesel" is on the left end of the "prototype" pictured??? - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerThe Yetis, power their snowmobiles with water so don't laugh...
