Rear stabilizer motor replacement

It looks like the motor has died on my rear stabilizers. I put 12V directly on the leads and it didn't move. It was running slowly for a while.

I really don't want to spend over $300 for a new motor. Other than manual crank jacks, has anyone found a replacement motor for a reasonable price?

  • Replace them with manual and go buy a 1/2 inch cordless drill. Works great. Besides you then have a cordless drill for use around the RV.
  • Here is a video that might be of help: video

Do a search for: klauber c800 electric motor

I saw motors for under $200.

I too believe that these stabilizers are next to useless.
  • I've considered this problem before as I have the powered rear stabilizers too. I think if mine go south, I will take the whole thing off and replace with manual screw-type jacks and not mess with the electric ones. They have no real benefit and are slower than molasses in January. I go with manual ones and an electric drill motor. They are just bling, no real benefit, but sure sound good to the marketing department.
