Refrigerator no longer works on Propane -- Need Advice

Sorry to hear your troubles with fridge on LP mode. I just posted in tech part this forum. Was having same trouble as you. New Regulator was the answer for me. You will have to get propane system checked at a shop or buy a manometer and you can do it yourself. Plenty of videos online to show how to test the pressure. I will be buying one to add to my tool box. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, it is a new propane burner which the orifice is integral with. I did exactly as you suggested this morning, but it still doesn't cool -- exact same situation as with the old propane burner assembly I replaced.

One day previous to that, I pulled the refrigerator out far enough to run a wire down the chimney, then used compressed air to blow it out. Nothing appeared to come out except lots of air -- there doesn't appear to be any obstruction in the chimney. After putting the fridge back in place and starting it up again on propane, it did start to cool down, but then when I checked it again in an hour or two, that short term cooling effect on propane had ceased.

It used to work great on both propane and 110v (it's a 2 way fridge, not 3 way unfortunately), but now only works on 110v.

I've about run out of ideas at this point. You suggested maybe checking LP pressure. How does one do that? And if the pressure happened to be too low, how would one remedy that? I already installed a new propane regulator at the tanks, and that did not solve the problem.

You need an Intense flame individualized above each burner slot and then lighter blue as they draft inward to draft up chimney. Lp pressure check but more likely orifice needs cleaned. It does look like a good flame. It seems with mine it is taller with more yellow in it but the blue on this appears to be quite good.

Remove the roof vent cover, look down inside to see if something(insulation) has fallen on top of the burner tube.

The burner is brand new -- I had thought it might be the problem.
I did run a wire up in the stack and rattle the baffle around, hardly any soot at all came out.

At this point I'm perplexed why it doesn't cool on propane, since it does cool nicely on 110v. Could it be an electronics problem? Or?
I'm not sure what to look into next. Any suggestions, anyone?

Yes, the 3/4 inch pipe should be directly above the flame.
