We have an unusual situation. Our tank monitors quit displaying, both black & gray, Suddenly. The light for the propane & water heater still work. Any ideas as to what happened & how to fix it? Thanks!

Wonder if you ran over something and cut or pulled the wires to the tanks. I just replaced mine. My case. Animal's chewed them off. Crawl under and look. Should be 4 wires to each tank

We were parked and everything was fine. We have a problem with one slide out. It is uneven and we were trying to figure out what was happening. When we were trying to retract the slide, the smoke detector chirped and we noticed that the see level read outs no longer worked.

The Seelevel system only has one wire from the panel that daisy chains all the individual tank sensors together as they are addressable, and a ground at each sensor. You will have one wire that goes from tank to tank and it will be connected to the blue wire at the display.The seelevel system has diagnostics and troubleshooting steps in the manual, here is a cut and paste....2. If an open circuit for all the senders is showing, it is most likely a wiring open circuit or display failure, since it is unlikely that all three senders are bad. Try shorting the wiring together at the display, the display should indicate a short circuit. If it doesn’t, the display is bad. If it does, then remove that connection and short the wires together at the sender locations. If no short circuit is shown, then the wiring is open. If the display does show a short circuit, then the senders must be bad.

Who installed it? How are the tank sensors ties to the serial loop, wirenuts? Look at the panel, then the sensors. You'll likely find a dangling wire

From your description slide causing voltage to drop excessively, restored surge popped a fuse? On some SL monitors a separate inline fuse is behind unit. The monitor & indicators (buttons) and switch power are separate on mine.

I'm curious as well, but SeeLevel systems overall are very reliable, and in this case, the problem appears to be related to wiring damage between the waste tank sensors and the display. The OP didn't mention the fresh tank level reading, but that could be on a separate wire.

It is a digital display & is a see level system. It shows (when working) 13.7 battery, 50 fresh, etc. Thanks!

Are the fresh/grey/black tank lights just indicator lights marked "Empty, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, Full" or similar? Or are they digital displays that show the percentage full level in each tank? If they're just stepped indicator lights, that is not a SeeLevel system. Might be a KIB system. Can you post a picture of the monitor panel?

Get under the unit find the tanks. The wires are or should be attached to connections on the side. Should be 3 from tank to a red connector with one coming out back to the harness. And one ground at the top of the tank. Will be the same for both tanks

The switches for the propane hot water & water pump light up when turned on. None of the four lights for the tanks have a light or error code. It would be easier to understand if none of them worked... Where would we find the wires to the tanks that you describe? We did not receive a booklet or model number when this was installed. Thanks!

You said the black and grey stopped reading, but didn't mention the fresh tank or propane levels. Do either of those read correctly? If so, that would rule out a bad display.

As mentioned above, these sensors are on one serial wire (and a return). You need to open the access panels and visually inspect the wiring, it is very simple. Also look at the panel itself. This is a really simple setup since everything is running on a single wire.

Nuwa installed it 3 years ago. Per the manual, since we do not have any readout codes, we turned the batteries off & back on. Nothing. We also checked the breaker panel & our EMS system does not show any errors. We leave for Michigan soon. The timing of this is ugly, especially with the slide issue at the same time. These have to be connected somehow. The slide uses 12 volt. As does the see level. Connection? Thanks! ( Of course, it would be the 4th weekend, so no one is working...)
