servicing question

Our 2006 gas powered MH has about 20,000 miles on it.
in 2016 we had it serviced, oil change etc.
ever since it has sat unused in a dry shed.
what should we get done before we take it out on the road again?
thanks everyone

it has been on a trickle fancy charger all this time

  • Your fancy charger look a lott nicer than our CTEK charger!

    Tires were new in 2015.
    thanks all

I would add Seafoam to tank (Proprolatic) Lube, Oil, Filter. Fill tank. and check the tires for age, if they are too old new rubber.

Drive carefully for the first few miles.. Ride the brakes gently for the first few hundred yards. That's about it.

I know the gasoline is supposed to get nasty and Diesel can grow algae if sitting too long ...but I"ve driven motor homes that sat for many years and .. NO problems with fuel delivery at all.. May just be the design of the 8.1L vortec.
  • 2016 till now ,your fuel is junk if its a gas rv. I would not try and start it till the fuel system was drained and cleaned. tires might look good but they rot ,might think about hiring a rv tech to do a complete inspection.
  • IMO....oil and filter change, chassis lube, inspect tires for condition and proper inflation, inspect shocks, brakes, hoses, belts, flush and fill the radiator, at a minimum.
