shutting off 12v power

Doing some wiring on my rig, can I just disconnect the battery or do I have to shut down my solar too? I can disconnect the + lead at the controller seeing as I don't have a on / off switch in line.

It’s probably easier to disconnect a wire than to access the roof.
    You got it!!!

  • WindyNation, for example, says never attach the panels to the controller unless the controller is attached the the batteries.

Some solar controllers can be damaged if you disconnect from the battery while they are still connected to the panel. Disconnect from the panel before you disconnect the battery (and VV after)

The converter might still be able to power the 12v without any battery connected, depending on how that is set-up in your rig.

Also you have the truck battery connected so unplug that from the camper (always live with a GM--no relay like with a Ford)
