Just relating my experience. I used to always go for the shady spot. Now with solar I look much more at the full sun or partial sun spaces.
I did notice this summer in the desert heat my air conditioner was better able to keep the trailer cool. 112 in Vegas would be 85+ in the trailer before. This time it would hold in the high 70s and cool quickly into the evening. Also had issues with the breakers tripping. Now just the main/air is on and held fine. Rest runs on solar/inverter or propane. Solar shades about 30% of the roof.
