- j-dExplorer III read the question to be about the Rooftop A/C on the "House" part of the RV. The answer seems to be about "Dash Air" on the Chassis.
If it's Chassis "Dash Air" by all means check the Drive Belt. If it's Rooftop "House" A/C, then this oil is about the best for motors. If your A/C happens to a Coleman (RV Products) Mach Series brand, one Motor Bearing is hidden. It also isn't usually the problem. Oil the Fan Motor at the end you can see the Fan part of the Shaft going into. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerI nicknamed this "Shotgun Posting" :)
Beware of Made-In-China fractional horsepower drive belts. I joke that they must be made of reconstituted Panda Poop.
Look at label for
"PRODUCT OF ......"
USA, Canada, or Mexico is much preferred - j-dExplorer II

Mexico does a good job on lots of things they make, and auto parts is one of them.
On our first Class C, all the Drive Belts were Vee types. This was before Serpentine. I could use "store brand" belts on the drive for the Water Pump and Power Steering. But the aftermarket A/C and the Alternator had to get Gates, Dayco, Napa, Goodyear, etc. It would EAT those lesser belts in those applications.
Anyhow, to Reload the Shotgun... If it's the Dash Air Fan squealing on startup, that Zoom Spout Oiler can lube that too. Has to come out of the vehicle. The end the Squirrel Cage is on, is easy. The "blind" end of the motor, usually has a little Cooling Air Tube. You can remove that and drip a little oil on the shaft bearing. NOT MUCH and BE CAREFUL! It's also where the Motor Brushes are. - armadillo_17ExplorerWell the a/c fan quit! Guess the bearings just gave out! Checking UTube before taking it to the shop.
- wa8yxmExplorer IIIWhat chassis is it?

Workhorse for example Fan is under dash, passanger side, about 4 or 6 screws to remove blower and motor assembly and 2 wires.. No special tools needed or skills, just a screwdriver. Easy to do if you if you fit in the area needed.
On some others.. The engine side of the fire wall.. Same assembly .. I mean Same part number in some cases same assembly so the procedure is the same,, Fit may be tighter though. - joebedfordNomad IIBad bushing on the squirrel cage. Replace fan not entire air conditioner.
