WHY EVEN SIMPLE TASKS IN OUR LIFE HAVE TO TURN INTO FULL RESEARCH IF YOU WANT THEM DONE RIGHT ???!!!
Waiting for furnace-mounted humidifier, who will have some limits by design, I check the market for portable units.
The 1-gallon units I have make twice a day duty - when filling up small hole with waterfall faucets is not helping at all.
I found steam humidifier, who with 2 gallons capacity sounds promising, but another $120 spend on research?
Other issue is gauge calibration. I have 4 gauges by LaCrosse and each show differently in 15-27% range while sitting on the same table.
Good part is that even the 1st gauge show only 2% humidity increase, it did help a lot and sparks are no longer a problem. Obviously I learned how to discharge electricity by touching door frame before touching light switch.
In my closet the switch is mounted on oak wall, so I put decorative copper cover plate on it. DON'T DO IT !!!
