Static electricity SOLVED p4
I have dry skin (have to wet my finger to activate touch screen) but my wife gets sparks (!) as well.
The issue did not exist in CA, where we used to live in higher humidity area and was lesser issue in Las Vegas house in the summer, when we run evaporation coolers, that kept indoor humidity above 30%.
Now with heating humidity is below 20% and when I walk upstairs on carpeted stairs and carpeted floor, I can't touch switch without spark flying from my finger to PLASTIC cover. When that is slightly painful, touching balcony door with metal skin outside will really shock me.
When vacuuming the carpet I have spark flying from vacuum handle to my hand about every 20 seconds.
Anybody has good remedy for it?
I am thinking about buying humidifier for my master (lower floor has stones and no issue there) and all the anti-static stuff I can find, but shall I put ground wire to the carpet and clip ground to my cloths when I am putting them on/off ?
