- philhExplorer IIhhmmmmm, I might be in the market for a new genset.
Probably not, I've needed to use my slightly lighter 2500w exactly one time if 3 years! - BarabooBobExplorer IIII am guessing a price tag of at least $2500. Just a guess.
- 3_tonsExplorer IIII’ll wait 6 more months for the revised model…

My SWAG, under $2000. - pianotunaNomad IIIDoes propane benefit from fuel injection?

It is a more "precise" delivery of fuel. Aftermarket conversion kit would be difficult. (You would have to shut off the fuel pump and the injector.)
Without "feedback" (ie. an exhaust gas oxygen, O2/EGO sensor) or at least a good way of measuring the amount of air going into the engine (mass air flow, MAF sensor) you really are just making an "educated guess" at how much fuel (liquid or gaseous) to inject. The big win would be for high altitude operation assuming it has away of measuring the ambient air pressure. Another win would be the fuel pump is likely inside the tank, so it is always stored "wet". Still susceptible to clogging from old fuel, but less likely.
(You have my "juices flowing" ! I have over 30 years experience designing and developing automotive fuel injection systems, including LP and LNG. Now I really want to see what is inside.) - valhalla360Navigator

Fuel injection doesn't need to mess about with propane as there are no jets to clog. Had a 25hp EFI Outboard and fuel issues were a non-issue as there was no carb to gum up. Propane options are mostly to solve carb issues.
The weight isn't really a big deal one way or the other. Currently have a Yamaha 2400 that weighs in around 70lb but peak is well above 2400w, so this is only bringing it down by 12lb. It's not going to make a big difference either way.
Fuel injection is a game changer in my mind but the question is the cost being a honda, I would be shocked if it comes in under $2k and there are a lot of great options for half that. - 2oldmanExplorer II

Just changing screen name to Not2oldman, would add 10 lbs more capability. - VeebyesExplorer IITempting but no. Never buy anything in it's first year model. Let it be out for awhile & others can find the bugs in it & deal with the warranty.
